Dr. Harishchandra Singh Rathod


Dr Harishchandra Singh Rathod specializes in the area of Marketing Management and possesses immense interest in research related to Rural Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Advertising and Tourism studies.
He has a teaching experience of more than 16 years and is currently designated as a Professor of Marketing at the institute.
Dr.Rathod was one of the 29 participants selected from Gujarat for the International FDP at the United Kingdom in December 2018. His academic tour to the UK was an enriching experience with several academic workshops organized by Universities of the UK focused towards innovative teaching pedagogy, international accreditation system, students’ engagement and curriculum development.
Dr. Rathod is a recognized PhD supervisor of Gujarat Technological University. He has directed guidance to various research projects. Additionally, he has served as a member for Academic Inspection Committee for various MBA institutes, PhD admissions screening Committee and Interview Panels for recruiting faculty members in MBA institutes.
Dr Harishchandra Singh Rathod also imparts training to Banking Personnel and School Teachers. He has trained more than 600 employees of Dena Bank from June 2016 to March 2019 and covered various range of topics like Customer Satisfaction, SERVQUAL and Marketing of Banking Services. He has a passion for teaching and emphasizes more on mnemonics and story-telling method of teaching for providing a better insight into complex management theories. He has also authored five books on various topics and published several research papers in International journals.

On June 2,2016 and June 9,2016 Dr. Harishchandra Singh Rathod was invited as a trainer by Dena Bank, Staff Training Centre, Ashram Road Ahmedabad.

The programme was conducted with an objective to provide pre-promotion training to Officers of Grade I and II.

He trained 600 officers of Dena Bank on the following topics for which the participants provided a very positive feedback.

  • Using effective body language during interviews
  • Facing interview successfully and
  • How to prepare for Group Discussions
